ABOUT Rowan

Rowan Frost has worked for more than 20 years as a health educator specializing in sexual health and interpersonal violence prevention, and as an advocate for sexual and relationship violence survivors. She is a queer femme lesbian survivor and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Community Health. The goal of her work with adults and youth is to support individual ability to achieve self-determination, and increase community capacity to create consent culture. As director of the Sexual Health, Advocacy, and Relationship Education (SHARE) program at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, she provides advocacy for survivors, trains and supervises confidential peer advocates, and directs prevention programs on campus. She promotes the development of trauma-supportive workplace practices and community building to foster staff resiliency, longevity, and proficiency.
