Shannon Collins is the Campus Technical Assistance Program Manager in the Center on Domestic Violence at the University of Colorado Denver. In this capacity, she provides training and support related to the development of coordinated community response teams to campuses funded by the Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women Campus Grant program. A licensed clinical social worker, Shannon has over 17 years of professional experience working to end gender violence through advocacy, response, prevention, training, and education in University settings. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology, a Master of Social Work degree, and a Women’s Studies Certificate of Graduate Study from the University of South Carolina. When she is not seeking to bring more peace and justice into the world by lifting the voices of survivors, she enjoys exploring the wild west with her partner in life and two adorable, rowdy children. She served as a 2016-2017 CAPPA Membership Chair, and currently serves as President to the board.
